The SLO Master Chorale presents The Poets Speak: Ralph Vaughn Williams–a concert of the music of England's beloved and deeply revered composer on the 150th anniversary of his birth. The ensemble will be joined by a full orchestra.

The concert will include a performance of Vaughn Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem, dedicated that evening to the Ukrainian people. This passionate and powerful anti-war cantata, written in 1936, is a call for peace and goodwill towards all.

The Fantasia on the “Old 104th” Psalm Tune, and Five Mystical Songs are also on the program. Soloists for the concert include Joel Balzun, baritone; Alba Franco-Cancél, soprano; and Susan Azaret Davies, piano.
