The Interdisciplinary Studies in the Liberal Arts Department, along with the Mustang Film Society, are hosting the third annual Social Justice Film Festival. This year’s theme is “Policing Women’s Sexuality.”
On Tuesday, April 23rd we will screen the Oscar winning 2023 film Poor Things. The film will be followed by a talk from Dr. Christina Kaviani a lecturer in Communication Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Queer Studies. The film begins at 4PM in the ATL (007) Lobby.
On Wednesday, April 24th, we are showing the Netflix documentary Victim/Suspect (2022), followed by a talk from the producer of the film, Rae de Leon. de Leon is also the journalist featured in the documentary. The film begins at 5PM in the ATL (007) Lobby.
Both screenings are free and open to the public!
