Returning for his 26th "Concerts in the Plaza" show, Damon Castillo is a well-renowned musician/songwriter/producer/mixer from San Luis Obispo. Nestled in on the south side, not far from rolling hills of pinot noir and chardonnay, he operates out of his studio, Laurel Lane. His most recent album, “Mess Of Me”, deftly navigates from nostalgic singer-songwriter to pop to funk and R&B. The album’s personnel includes longtime bandmates Kristian Ducharme, Larry Kim, as well as new collaborators Aaron Sterling, Pete Whitfield and nine-time Grammy-Award winning mixer F. Reid Shippen.
Noach Tangeras, who will be opening for Castillo, is an award-winning Americana singer/songwriter with roots in folk/rock/blues/country. Her powerhouse vocals are combined with rhythm guitar to bring a soulful fusion sound.
Concerts in the Plaza, presented by Sunset Honda and hosted by Downtown SLO, is the largest free concert series on the Central Coast.
