Get ready for an incredible night of music and talent at the Symphony's Winter Concert! Be amazed by the exceptional student winners of the Cal Poly Symphony's Solo Competition, including the bassoonist Davis Lerner performing Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, violinist Reenu Kutty playing Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 and saxophonist Ari Maman performing Maurice's “Tableaux de Provence.” You'll also hear soprano Sarah Jane Scott perform Mozart's “Laudate Dominum”.
You'll be captivated by the orchestra's performance of “Chronicles” by the student composer Yumin Park and the symphony's assistant conductor Jayden Perez will lead the ensemble in John Williams' “Theme from Jurassic Park.”
The symphony will also play music by Joe Hisaishi “Howl’s Moving Castle,” “Spirited Away,” “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” and “My Neighbor Totoro.”
