Cal Poly Center for Service in Action presents the 20th Annual "Change the Status Quo" Social Justice Leadership Conference.
Conference themes and workshop tracks include BLM Movement, Environmental Justice, Student Leadership as Activism, Intersectionality of Social Justice, White Allyship, Service & Social Justice, Jewish Culture & Antisemitism – in collaboration with SLO's Jewish Festival of Learning.
This year's keynote speaker is writer, abolitionist organizer, and creative educator Hoda Katebi. Her work has been hailed from the BBC to the New York Times and featured or cited in books, journals, and museums around the world. She is the founding member of Blue Tin Production, an apparel manufacturing cooperative run by working class women of color setting new international standards in labor and sustainable fashion supply chains.
