The Design Village Board at California Polytechnic State University’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) kindly invites you to visit our 49th annual Design Village! Design Village provides students a unique design-build opportunity at a large scale, practicing our “Learn by Doing” philosophy as they create, build, and live in shelters at The Architectural Experimental Laboratory, otherwise known as Poly Canyon. A once empty hillside is remarkably transformed into the site of a temporary village.
Come during the daytime to experience the outpouring of creativity from Cal Poly's CAED students or stop by in the evening after 5 pm for live musical performances in partnership with KCPR and the Shabang music festival.
